Compensation: $70-100k
Responsibilities:
- Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop and server level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications; Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming concerns and issues related to systems, software and hardware
- Run diagnostic problems to resolve problems
- Report significant and recurring issues to the IT management
- Manage desk moves and changes
- Build workstations and backend system using custom images as needed
- Adhere to all IT security policies and assist in enforcing and monitoring IT security policies
- Business Continuity Planning/Disaster Recovery planning (BCP/DR)
- Monitor overall infrastructure environment (SAN, Exchange, Network..etc)
- Cybersecurity alerts monitoring and remediation
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
- 4 years' experience in a desktop and infrastructure support role
- Strong diagnostic/ troubleshooting skills, must have an innate curiosity and interest in IT
- Ability to adapt to changing business processes, technologies, and environments
- Working knowledge of Win10,11. Windows server 2019/2022
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, Exchange, VMWare
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocol stack
- Working knowledge of routers, firewalls, switches; Cisco troubleshooting in particular
- Working knowledge of Citrix XenDesktop stacks, Netscaler, Load Balancing, Virtual Desktop
- Working knowledge of Thin client setup and controls
- Working knowledge of applications, especially advance Outlook helpful- as is PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- Working knowledge of the following software configurations: Bloomberg, Bloomberg add-in troubleshooting, Microsoft package, Acrobat, and web browsers
- HVAC and UPS knowledge a plus
