Software Engineer

Qualifications:
Required:

• 3 years of work experience as a backend developer, with proficiency in Python and/or C#.
• Solid experience with messaging solutions such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Solace.
• Demonstrated ability in code optimization, performance tuning, and testing.
• Good understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of application development processes, including authentication, API integration, build process, testing, validation, and state management.
• Familiarity with source code control systems, with a preference for Git.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot, assess problems logically, and devise solutions.
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a closely related field.

• Some exposure to or understanding of energy/commodity markets (e.g., Power, Gas, Oil, Coal, Metals, Emissions) is beneficial but not required.
• Familiarity with OTC products (forwards, swaps, options, swaptions) is a plus.
• Knowledge of securities and OTC trades, including lifecycle management, asset servicing, position management, transaction reporting, reconciliation, exception management, and break resolution workflow, would be advantageous.
